Permanent Tooth Replacement

The Process

Implants are innovative, long-lasting solutions for a missing tooth or teeth. They function as anchors that are surgically placed into your jawbone, providing a sturdy foundation for replacement teeth.

Step 1

During the implant procedure, a small titanium post resembling a tiny screw is gently placed into the jawbone where the missing tooth used to be. This post acts as a substitute for the tooth root, fusing with the jawbone through a process called osseointegration. This creates a secure foundation for the replacement tooth.

Step 2

After the implant post is placed, a healing period is necessary to allow the implant to integrate with the jawbone. This typically takes a few months, during which a temporary restoration is provided to help you maintain a functional smile while the post heals in place.

Step 3

Once the implant has fully integrated, a custom-made dental crown, bridge or denture is created to fit over the implant. This replacement is designed to match the shape, size and color of your natural teeth, ensuring a seamless and natural-looking result that allows you to bite, chew and speak with confidence.
